Terms and privacy

These are the current feature terms for review. Reading this page is not acceptance. Your signed order and the terms you explicitly accepted govern your purchases; newer page text does not silently replace them.

Your website and software agreement

Your signed State of Stick order identifies your website scope, price, subscription, acceptance criteria, cancellation, refunds and deliverable rights. Product previews and walkthroughs do not create an agreement or guarantee an unbuilt feature. Review your signed document in your service portal.

Service payments

Version 2026-10-18-v2

State of Stick Service Payments — version 2026-10-18-v2
State of Stick, Co. provides software; your company is the seller responsible for its services, estimates, taxes, customer disclosures, refunds and disputes. Stripe provides payment processing under its applicable agreements. The managed State of Stick website and the agreed monthly software subscription remain required and separately priced; setup and hardware are separate.
You authorize State of Stick to connect your Stripe account, create and verify customer-approved payment checkouts, collect the platform fees below, access account readiness and payment/refund/dispute information, share the information necessary for those activities with Stripe, and return platform fees. Only an authorized company owner may accept these terms. Stripe separately collects business, identity and bank information during its hosted onboarding.
Our platform fee is 0.5% (50 basis points) of each USD payment total processed through this service, including any tax in that total, rounded to the nearest cent (half cents round up). There is no additional fixed State of Stick payment fee. Stripe processing and other provider fees remain separate. Our fee is deducted from your proceeds and does not increase the homeowner's approved total. Payments outside this service incur no State of Stick transaction fee.
Our fee is waived until the end of the fixed 90-day trial established by your company's explicit delivery acceptance in State of Stick. Connecting or reconnecting Stripe, accepting these payment terms later, or changing a monthly plan does not restart that period. The fee is fixed when a Checkout attempt is created; an already-open attempt keeps that fee until it expires. Later attempts use the applicable rate. No historical payment is repriced.
When Stripe confirms a full or partial customer refund, we return the corresponding proportion of our original platform fee to your connected Stripe account, rounded to cents and capped at the original fee. Processing can be delayed or require review if provider confirmation or sufficient platform funds are unavailable. Contact info@stateofstick.co if the fee return is pending. Stripe's own fee refunds follow Stripe's terms. A dispute alone is not a customer refund; dispute fees and outcomes follow Stripe's rules.
Your agreed monthly subscription amount, trial, cancellation and setup/hardware refund terms remain in your signed agreement. Stop future in-app payments by asking us to disable them or disconnecting the platform through Stripe where available; this does not cancel your software subscription, which has separate billing controls. Completed payments, refunds, disputes and required records may remain after disconnection. Existing agreements and open payment attempts are not silently changed. A negotiated alternative requires a separate written agreement and verified configuration before use.
You retain your business data and brand; State of Stick retains its reusable software and intellectual property. No equity, exclusivity or distribution rights are granted. Our Privacy Policy explains service records, payment metadata and requests. Nothing here limits rights protected by applicable law. Keep a copy of these terms and your agreement; questions: info@stateofstick.co.

Optional invoicing

Version 2026-10-18-invoices-v1

Optional invoicing addendum — 2026-10-18-invoices-v1
By enabling invoicing, the company owner authorizes State of Stick to create customers, draft and finalize invoices, send invoices only on an explicit office action, verify payments and return proportional platform fees through the company's connected Stripe account. Your company remains the seller and is responsible for accurate scope, tax, due dates, customer consent, refunds and lawful collection.
Stripe Invoicing has its own fee in addition to payment processing: the published US Starter rate is 0.4% per paid invoice. Your Stripe agreement, country, selected plan and payment method determine actual provider charges; verify these in Stripe before enabling. State of Stick does not set or guarantee Stripe pricing. Our existing 0.5% platform fee and acceptance-started 90-day waiver remain separate. For invoices, our fee is fixed when issuance begins, including for a balance invoice issued later. We do not silently change previously accepted payment terms.
A deposit and balance are separate invoices whose sum equals the disclosed job total. Finalizing creates a payable invoice but does not send email. Sending requires an explicit office action. Cash/check records do not move money and carry no State of Stick transaction fee; record them only after funds are received. Provider fees may still apply. Refunds and credit notes are managed in Stripe; this workspace verifies their results and returns the corresponding portion of our fee when a customer refund is confirmed. Automated reminders, accounting synchronization and tax calculation are not enabled by this addendum. Your company must configure any Stripe dashboard automations separately.
Invoice and payment records are shared with Stripe and retained for financial reconciliation. The Privacy Policy and separately accepted service payment terms continue to apply. Enabling invoices grants no equity, exclusivity or ownership of State of Stick software. Questions: info@stateofstick.co.

AI design rounds

Version 2026-10-19-v1

Three six-concept rounds are included per company per UTC calendar month; unused included rounds do not roll over. Extra rounds are optional one-time purchases: $15 for one or $39 for three, plus applicable tax. Purchased rounds do not expire, but an active eligible company account is required to generate. No automatic purchases. A completed six-concept round uses one credit, even if you prefer another direction. Technical failures restore the credit; repeated failures pause generation for support review. Viewing, downloading and changing order preferences do not use credits. Concepts are AI-generated raster review artwork, not guaranteed unique or production-ready. Vector cleanup, human design services, fabrication, shipping, installation, NFC hardware and connected service are separately quoted. Unconnected products require no NFC service. You retain your uploaded logo rights and must have permission to use it. Check all wording, logo fidelity, dimensions and mounting before final approval. Contact State of Stick for unused-credit refunds or defective output review; statutory rights remain unaffected.

Domain setup requests

Version 2026-10-20-v1

Your company remains the registered domain owner. State of Stick, Co. manages registration only with your authorization. Managed registration costs the registrar's actual charge plus $24 per domain per year, plus applicable taxes. The website build and monthly software plan are separate. Connecting your existing primary website domain is included in the website scope; existing registrar charges remain your responsibility.
This request does not purchase, reserve, transfer or connect a domain and does not authorize a charge or automatic renewal. We will confirm availability, first-year and renewal pricing, registrant details and applicable registrar terms before asking you to approve a purchase. Successful registrations may be non-refundable. Registry pricing can change at renewal; new charges require the agreed renewal authorization. Premium domains, recovery fees, additional domains and complex migrations need separate quotes.
Cancelling software does not transfer domain ownership or automatically cancel domain registration. We will coordinate a transfer or independent management, subject to registrar verification and transfer restrictions. Your email records must be preserved during DNS changes. Do not provide registrar passwords or transfer codes in this form.

How feature data is used

ZapLatch uses company membership, equipment records, requests, visits, uploaded files and payment references to provide your company workspace. Company permissions determine who can access records; public equipment taps do not grant staff access. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in free-text notes or artwork briefs.

When enabled, payments share necessary billing information with Stripe; email notifications use our mail delivery provider; AI design generation sends your submitted brief and logo to the configured image provider. Domain registration will require registrant contact details and separate approval before submission to the registrar. A request or quote alone does not register a domain.

For access, correction, export or deletion requests, contact support@zaplatch.com. Financial, agreement and security records may require retention. This notice does not promise an automated export/deletion feature or a retention period that has not been established. See the privacy policy for the broader policy.

Service boundaries

ZapLatch is not an emergency dispatch service. For urgent equipment hazards, contact the responsible service company or appropriate emergency services. Your contractor remains responsible for its work, scheduling, estimates, taxes and customer warranties. AI concepts require review before production. Software, customer service, physical goods and domain services have separate approval steps.
